Finding the perfect gown is almost as important as
finding the perfect groom.

Heed this expert advice:

• Be open-minded when searching for your dress. Try on
different styles and silhouettes because sometimes the
gown you least expect may be “The One.” And remember
that the fit is just important as the style. If the gown doesn’t
feel comfortable or fit properly, you will not be happy. The
dress will be on you for a minimum of several hours, so it
needs to offer support while allowing you to move and to
be comfortable.

• Stay true to yourself. Trends come and go, but a bride
should choose a gown that makes her look and feel her
best.

• Shop at a full-service bridal boutique so you get individual
attention.

• Order early. The last thing any bride wants to stress
about is whether her gown will make it in time for the big
day. When purchasing a gown under very limited time
constraints, important details may be compromised,
and you don’t want to have to settle for a color or
gown that is not your No. 1 choice.
